What Keeps Me Going II by Thomas Broomé

Lipstick, perfume and medicine packaging share the space on glass shelves of a bathroom cupboard in Thomas Broomé’s (2019) work, including figures of people and faces.

Which stories does the cupboard tell? What is inside the packaging and what function does it fulfil? What is written on the beautiful glass packaging and which of the objects in the cupboard do we actually need to keep going? The medicine? Something else? Made of acrylic glass, aluminium, synthetic resin, glass and paper, the work is one of three in a series.
