Show me your teeth by Javon Bennett is a commentary and response to the dichotomy of the island’s military past, a base for storage, training and respite, along with the mythical tales of an island grounds to hedonistic play, as its name suggests.

At the island’s green edge we get to gorge. Much like the sacrificial lamb, imbued with herbaceous aromatics and roasted to tender bites, we celebrate emphatically the peak of days without darkness: shunning responsibilities, dining and dancing dazzlingly, dizzyingly, for as long we’re gifted light. Javon Bennett lives and works in Oslo as artist and baker to create deliciously edible installations. Playfully exploring ingredients and their bounds, stretching and extracting essences, textures and colours while applicating with a somewhat painterly eye and approach.
