The settings of Moa Israelsson-Forsberg’s earlier works were often isolated camping sites and wastelands, in the style of American crime stories, in which changes and transformations had occurred over time. A deserted sleeping bag, or perhaps a cocoon from an unknown civilisation? The sculpture Go, Gone brings to mind organic remains marked by nature and the ravages of time. Listen to the artist talking about the work in the film above.
Moa Israelsson was born in Ljungby in 1982. Educated at the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm, she lives and works in Åkers Styckebruk.
