Forum Medicum, the new building at Lund University, is the location of Ylva Snöfrid’s artistic intervention Cosmos and Vanitas in the Light of Conscience. The artwork highlights the humanist aspects in education and research on care, health and medicine and places the activities that will be conducted at Forum Medicum in a larger perspective. Kosmos och Vanitas i samvetets ljus is the original title.
The artistic intervention Cosmos and Vanitas in the Light of Conscience comprises three monumental oil paintings measuring 691 x 600 cm that recount the human cycle of life. Two of the paintings will placed on walls around the square inside the entrance to the Forum Medicum, one painting will be placed in the adjacent restaurant.
