Friday, 16 October begins with three guided bus tours, offering participants the opportunity to experience art at various locations across Uppsala throughout the morning. At the same time, a wide range of exhibitions, guided tours and other cultural activities will be available for you to explore at your own pace. You can find the full programme below.
Choose One of Three Bus Tours
Bus Tour 1. Public Art in Focus – from Uppsala University Hospital to Rosendal, Ulleråker and Hospitalet
Experience an art tour focusing on public art in Uppsala. You will see public art at Uppsala University Hospital and in the urban development projects in Ulleråker and Rosendal. The tour concludes at Hospitalet’s studios, where there will be an opportunity to visit open studios, take part in workshops and network.
Bus Tour 2. Creative Encounters at Hospitalet – Networking, Open Studios and Workshops
Enjoy an inspiring morning of networking, open studios and creative workshops in Hospitalet’s artistic environment. Meet the artists and creatives working there and get creative yourself!
Bus Tour 3. Studio Kapellet – Artistic Practice in a Rural Setting: Sculpture Park and Performance
Working Artistically in the Countryside
Visit Studio Kapellet in Östervåla and explore the sculpture park, get an introduction to Kapellet’s activities, and experience a performance by artists-in-residence Afrang Nordlöf Malekian and TM Möller. Studio Kapellet is run by artists Hanna Wildow and Dick Hedlund.
