Artist Lage Pergon lives close to trees. Combining his artistic career with working as an arborist has long influenced his artistic practice both in terms of technique and material as well as thematically. Caring for trees and the knowledge of their importance for the earth’s climate is what characterise Pergon’s work.
Lage Pergon began working with woodcuts in the 1970s, with trees as his main motif and concept, which he continued to develop when he transitioned from printmaking to sculpture.
