An unstoppable force of nature captured in a frozen moment, a set of tools that can no longer be used, and leaking wood. The Public Art Agency presents an exhibition with works by around 50 artists who all work with wood in different ways.
The works are part of our collection of public art and are either made of wood, or depict, use and allude to wood. You will encounter crafts, handicrafts, sculpture, painting, photography and video created from the 1960s to the present day.
The exhibition brings together the organic and the industrial. Join us on a journey that goes from the down-to-earth encounter with wood via spirituality and mysticism, nature romanticism and the search for the soul of nature, to a microcosm where insects, beneficial animals and pest, eat and are eaten.
