LAUNCH: Annotated Bibliography

Welcome to the digital launch of Annotated Bibliography

The Annotated Bibliography consists of a publication, a digital platform and a (post-pandemic) physical library.

The Public Art Agency Sweden commissioned the Visible project (run by the curator duo Judith Wielander and Matteo Lucchetti) to compile an annotated bibliography resulting in the Collectively Annotated Bibliography: On Artistic Practices in the Expanded Field of Public Art – an extended version of an ordinary bibliography with short comments on each item in the list. The purpose was to reach beyond traditional Western academic publications into areas and expressions that are relevant to public art in a global perspective.

We invite you to join us for an online conversation including reflections by the artists Sandi Hilal, Pedro Reyes and Elizabeth Povinelli (Karrabing Film Collective). The film will be published on our website afterwards.

The event will be in English.

The conversation will bring together:

Emanule Coccia, Associate Professor of Philosophy at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales

Gabi Ngcobo curator based in Johannesburg

Patrick Amsellem, Director of the Public Art Agency Sweden

Rebecka Katz Thor, Editor of In-depth Materials and Reflection at the Public Art Agency Sweden

Judith Wielander an Matteo Lucchetti, from the Visible project.
