Welcome to a full-day conference where we will explore expanded contexts and methods for contemporary public art. Get inspired by art co-created by civil society and professional artists. Experience projects in which the artistic methods have expanded our understanding of the nature of participatory work and how they have contributed to new ideas on the various roles of audiences and public realms. A day of inspiring presentations and interactive workshops.

Engaging and Challenging: Public Art Today is a full day of inspiring lectures where we explore expanded contexts and methods of public art today. The programme includes lectures, talks and presentations of artworks. We will for example listen to artists and participants from “Konst händer” (Art is Happening 2016–2018), Public Art Agency Sweden’s initiative focusing on public art in Million Programme housing areas.
