Go, gone by Moa Israelsson-Forsberg

Moa Israelsson-Forsberg creates scenarios that take place in a remote wilderness, often influenced by American culture. Go, Gone was acquired for the Corona Collection, an initiative to support the Swedish art scene during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The settings of Moa Israelsson-Forsberg’s earlier works were often isolated camping sites and wastelands, in the style of American crime stories, in which changes and transformations had occurred over time. A deserted sleeping bag, or perhaps a cocoon from an unknown civilisation? The sculpture Go, Gone brings to mind organic remains marked by nature and the ravages of time. Listen to the artist talking about the work in the film above.
